More Participation Needed
I am a bit surprised that local architects and designers do not participate more in Spaces through queries and comments via letters section. Your last issue contained only letters from Nepali students in the USA. I would have thought that this magazine could be a good way for them to air their views on architectural issues. Or is it that they are too busy with their own works and not bothered about bigger issues that affect the general public? If so, they must come out of their shells. Update Website
Please update the website on time and I would also request you to post all the old issues in archives as well. Besides this, there is very little one can say that Spaces is not doing well. Keep up the good work. God bless. Juni Shrestha Patan
I must say that Spaces, aside from keeping us up to date on art, architecture and design is also serving to keep readers informed about other issues as well such as heritage and conservation. Besides, even though the focus is on the above, our knowledge is also updated on many other things. For instance, through your last issue I came to know about the Musical School which I didn’t know about. The best thing about your magazine is that it deals with issues and subjects relevant to our own country.

Firstly let me say ‘congratulations’ for the superb photos of our home in your article “The Destination” in the Jan - Feb 2007 issues of Spaces. It is my home and your feature brought back many wonderful memories of my times at Keshar Mahal. I was a bit disappointed that you did not mention our mother’s name in your article. The beautiful gardens and homely interior is all thanks to our mother, Lotti Weise, who still resides there. Our late father, Robert Weise, was the architect, and our mother, Lotti Weise, was, and is, the interior decorator. That house in Thamel is, and will always be, home to me.
