A HIGHER PLATEAU

I must say Spaces appears to have attained a higher plateau with the September – October 2007 Issue. It is so nice to see a Nepali magazine with such a high degree of professionalism. But, as you know, it is more difficult to keep one’s place at the top once it is reached. Therefore, I hope your team will continue to put in the efforts you have made till now and give us as good issues in the future.

NEW IDEAS

Congratulations on your feature on the new US Embassy. It was very well written. However, the photos seem to be limited in scope. Your magazine seems to be going places. Keep it up. I also liked the article on Bangok Airport. I hope our planners get some new ideas from this feature which should help them in the making of the new international airport being planned to be built in the near future in Nepal.

THANKS

Thank you for the excellent coverage of our show, A Moment In Time. I am back in New York now, but I managed to get a copy of Spaces before I left. The magazine looks great. I think it’s really great that a publication like Spaces is able to sustain itself in Nepal. All the best and I hope to see more great issues like the last one.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES

Spaces is doing a good job highlighting student activities. Your presentation of thesis projects by various students is something that is quite motivating to all students. I think this is important because for anybody to succeed in a creative field like architecture, a high degree of motivation is needed. Like Architect Kamana Dhakwa has said, “One has to be passionate about architecture”.
