Absolutely Thrilled I was absolutely thrilled when I came across your web page while surfing the net. I am an architect myself settled and practising in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I would like to see more articles in the present scenario of apartment and real estate in Nepal and maybe features of the existing apartments in Kathmandu valley. Last, but not the least, a big round of applause for the team of SPACES for putting up a great effort. Best regards, Suriti Joshi Director Icon Architects Limited Dhaka, Bangladesh
Interesting Features The last issue of SPACES had some interesting features. I specially liked the articles on Artist Asha Dangol and Architect Kishor Thapa. Your magazine is proving to be an effective platform to make such talented young professionals better known to the public. SPACES is indeed fulfilling a much needed role in society by portraying the better side of Nepal. I hope your readership grows by leaps and bounds because I think more people should go through your excellent magazine. It can only help our society become more positive minded. Best wishes, Narendra Raut Chabel, Kathmandu
Some Suggestions Although SPACES is already a very good magazine which is propogating a lot of awareness on important public issues, I would like to suggest a few things to further improve the contents. First, I think you should include more features on lifestyle improving products because with rapid technological advances, the market is constantly being beseiged with newer products about which your readers would surely like to be updated. Secondly, I think SPACES should also have a regular section on how-to’s and tips for the average homeowner because your magazine is after all the leading magazine on architecture and interiors. Neelam Tamrakar Indrachowk, Kathmandu
Oh Bagmati! River Front Spaces was a well thought out article and I commend you for featuring it well. Indeed, the Bagmati river is a symbol of Kathmandu Valley’s civilization and in fact, its state of being could be taken as a good marker of the state our civilization is in. Sadly, it does not look like it is in a good state. In any other place such a river would have been the pride of the city but here, in Kathmandu, rivers have been degraded into dumping sites for waste with the result that instead of furthering the beauty of the city, the rivers have become causes for spreading pollution. I hope concerned bodies will take serious note of your article and make good use of it. Shreya Manandhar Koteswor, Kathmandu
