An important chapter
of modern Nepali
Painting came to a
sad end with the
demise of the
legendary DB on 22th
Dec.’10 evening. It
was a sudden mild
respiratory
complication which
took away the great
master from us. Dil
Bahadur Chitrakar -
popularly known
simply as DB to many
of his fans and the
entire art
fraternity, and
lovingly addressed
as dear ‘Dil Dai’
(dear brother)...

Art from the Balgo
Hills, was held at
the Siddhartha Art
Gallery in Kathmandu,
as part of a series
of events to
celebrate 50 years
of diplomatic
relations between
Australia and Nepal.

special exhibition
of ‘Paubha Art’ of

exhibition, the
fifth in the series
of the exhibition
“Contemporary Asian
Artist”...
A work of art, as

rightly puts it, is
merely a physical
object created by an
artist as a product
of his or her
natural instinct,
which, in the long
run, and in the
absence of its
creator, would be
left to make
dialogues with the
viewer irrespective
of the time it is
viewed and judged.

these lifeless, yet
timeless works,
continue to be
glorified and
debated upon...
Mr.
Trilokesh SJB Rana, an
accomplished individual in
the field of furniture

school days where he won the
